On the anniversary of his death, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam also known as the Missile Man of India left a lasting impression on both politics and science. He was popularly known as the "People President" and was India's 11th president. His rise from a modest life in Rameswaram to the famous Rashtrapati Bhavan where he was born on October 15 1931 was an example of his firm spirit, dedication, and determination according to mid-day.

 Through his work with the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Kalam had a significant impact on Indian space research as an aerospace scientist.
